The method that best supports individualized instruction in a classroom is the Personalized Systems of Instruction (PSI). This approach is designed to cater to the unique learning pace and preferences of each student, allowing for a more tailored educational experience.

PSI emphasizes self-paced learning, where students can progress through material based on their understanding and mastery of concepts. This flexibility is crucial for addressing the diverse needs of learners, as it enables them to spend more time on challenging areas while advancing quickly through topics they grasp easily. The use of feedback and reinforcement in PSI also encourages motivation and encourages students to take ownership of their learning.

Furthermore, PSI often includes structured support systems, such as one-on-one interactions with instructors or peer tutoring, which enhances the individualized experience. This model is particularly effective because it recognizes that students do not learn at the same rate and that personalized attention can significantly impact their educational outcomes. By focusing on individual progress and allowing for variations in learning styles, PSI emerges as an effective method for fostering engagement and success in the classroom.
